The house

Stones from 1768, water all around

The mill has kept its walls, its wheel and the sound of the river, which you can hear from almost every room.

Isabelle and Philippe Porcel restored the mill and turned it into a six-room guest house for adults. The river runs along the park, and the large millpond and the meadow give the place a country feel. The pool is heated in season.

Breakfast is served in the garden under the big oak, or in the shade of the patio. The rest of the day is yours, by the pool or along the river, at your own pace.

The story of the mill

The secret of Hippolyte Dumas

During the Reign of Terror, Hippolyte Dumas, sentenced to death, found refuge in this mill. Philippe Porcel wrote the story down and tells it in a four-minute podcast, in French.

An idyllic setting to recharge, by the meadows and the river. The pool is superb, and the garden is dotted with quiet corners to sit and think. Breakfast under the big oak will stay with us.
